Mr. M. Gillespie - Head Bramalea's Social Science Department offers a variety of courses at the academic and applied levels leading to college/university as well as workplace destinations. these courses are offered to students in grade9 through OAC. In addition, we provide courses of instruction for students with English as a second language. The members of the department include teaching staff from many areas within the school community including the history, geography, physical education, business, technologies, arts and ESL departments. Social Science courses prepare students at Bramalea for an "unlimited" number of future opportunties and choices of career paths. These include careers in law, education, journalism, urban planning, environmental and conservation engineering and geological surveying to mention only a few.
